               With advanced GentleLASE© technology, you can forget about the pain and inconvenience of shaving, plucking, or waxing unwanted hair.  Typical applications for both female and male patients include face, underarms, bikini line, legs, back, chest, and private and sensitive areas.  Laser treatments- even of large areas such as the legs, back, or chest -take a fraction of the time of other hair removal methods.  Facial and bikini areas are usually completed in under 10 minutes; legs, back and larger areas can take longer.

               Only GentleLASE© lasers have the patented Dynamic Cooling Devices (DCD®) that sprays the upper layers of skin with a fine mist of cryogen prior to each pulse of the laser.  This exclusive cooling technology minimizes pain, protects the top layer of skin, and enables the laser energy to gently reach and treat hair follicles.

               The laser treatment includes; wearing safety eyewear to protect the practitioner and patients eyes from the laser light during the procedure; use of a small hand piece that touches the skin to deliver the laser light (a light spray of coolant onto the skin will be felt just before each laser pulse); a test area will be done prior to the entire treatment (your full treatment may be done on the same day or up to 2 weeks later, depending on the skin reaction); the treated area may become pink or red within 30 minutes of treatment (this may last from a few hours to several days and is relieved with the application of ice or cooling gels).  0

ELECTROLYSIS

            Electrolysis involves inserting a wire probe into each hair follicle and applying an electrical current to cause thermal ablassion and destroy the follicle.  Expertly used, it can be successful in eliminating hair permanently.  However, because you can only treat one hair follicle at a time, it is a tedious and time consuming process.  All colors of hairs and hairs in all areas can be treated, with the exception of mucus membranes, warts, and moles.

                 The average session is usually fifteen to thirty minutes.  However, some areas can be treated for as long as one hour.
